THE CAMPUS CHRONICLE

A Dream Told Me To Write This

There were pyramids with coded messages that read I needed to write.

I swam in a warm ocean of waves that hugged my body and whispered to me that I need to write.
My feet lead me across a burning desert where I met a man with honeyed skin who commanded me to write.
I need to write to write.
I need to write to need.
I need to write to write to need.
I need to write to remember my name.
I need to write to feel alive.
I need to write to know myself.
I need to write because I’m so very tired and this poem is the only one who listened.
