Actor’s Spotlight: RJ Cyler

RJ Cyler is a 22-year-old actor who was born on March 21, 1995 in Jacksonville, Florida. He is the youngest of three children and was born to Katina Cyler and Ronald Cyler, Sr.

In 2013, he began his acting career at 17-years-old when he landed the role in a short film called Second Chances. After getting a taste of the acting bug he and his family relocated to Los Angeles, California so that he could pursue his dream of being an actor. 

In 2015, Cyler got his biggest acting break when he co-starred in the film Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and was a minor character in an HBO original: Vice Principals. So far, his biggest movie project was starring in the 2017 Power Ranger reboot as the Blue Ranger. That is the first film of Power Ranger movies that Cyler will be a part of because the franchise will go on for a few more years. He has been cast in two more upcoming movies, War Machine, which comes out at the end of 2017 and White Boy Rick, which is now filming and will be released in 2018.

Cyler is currently residing in Los Angeles, California.
