THE CAMPUS CHRONICLE

Arrington Robinson: The Man with the Plan

Arrington Robinson, born to parents Michael and Nia Robinson, is a Senior Biology Pre-Medicine major at Alcorn State University (ASU).

Hailing from the City of Lights, Canton, Mississippi, Robinson chose to become a Biology Pre-Medicine major because he aspires to be a Sports Medicine Physician. His biggest inspiration in his life thus far is his family. “My family pushes and motivates me to be the best version of myself every day. They are my reason for existing,” he stated.

Robinson is a part of several organizations on ASU’s campus such as becoming a Spring 2022 Initiate of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., being a member of the Men’s Track and Field team, Alpha Chi Sigma, ASU Gospel Choir, National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), The T.R.E.N.D. Modeling Squad and STAYWOKE University. In the Spring of 2023, Robinson decided to step out on faith and campaign to become the 3rd Mister Alcorn State University.

He stated, “I decided to run for Mister Alcorn because I wanted to bridge the gap between the administration and the student body and also represent Alcorn in the best way possible.” Robinson campaigned on the platform of the 3 P’s. Patient enough to make sure that our Historically Black College and University (HBCU) remains one of the top institutions in the nation. Passionate enough to continue to equip, empower and embellish all of the great minds that walk through the doors and be Persistent enough to see it through when times get hard. “I chose this platform because while growing up I was always taught the core values of staying patient, passionate and persistent,” stated Robinson.

Now that Robinson has officially been crowned, he plans to host multiple events around campus. He stated, “I have a business professional event coming up to highlight the techniques and proper etiquette when going into the business professional realm.”

After graduating from Alcorn, Robinson plans to attend medical school to further his plans of becoming a doctor.
