Durk Derrick Banks, better known by his stage name Lil Durk, is a Chicago-born rapper. Durk’s rapping career began after he dropped out of high school at the age of 17, however, the Chiraq native did not start taking rapping seriously until 2011.

Lil Durk’s debut mixtape was released on August 26th, 2011, though the mixtape wasn’t successful on the Billboard Charts, songs on it received positive feedback. His second mixtape ‘I’m Still a Hitta’ was released in April of 2012. With the popularity of “L’s Anthem” and the follow up 2013 single “Dis Ain’t What U Want”, Lil Durk was offered a joint venture deal with his collective, Only The Family (OTF), and Def Jam Recordings, which he accepted.

Over his career, Lil Durk has released a total of 6 studio albums, 12 mixtapes, and three compilation albums. Also, he has recorded numerous RIAA gold/ platinum songs and has been successful on Billboard charts as well. Lil Durk’s music is available on all major and minor music streaming platforms.
