Taurus Tremani Bartlett, better known by his stage name Polo G, is a 22-year-old rapper, hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Polo G began rapping at age 15, however, he didn’t start taking the hobby seriously until he was 17-years-old.
Polo G first generated buzz in 2018 after the release of his Soundcloud successful single, “GangWithMe.” He garnered more attention after the releases of his next two songs, “Welcome Back” and “Never Cared”. It wasn’t until 2019 that the Chiraq native hit the mainstream circuit with the chart topping rap single “Pop Out” featuring New York rapper Lil Tjay. The track peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the song’s music video gained over 200 million views on YouTube which led to him signing a record deal with Columbia Records.
On February 14, 2020, Polo released the track “Go Stupid” featuring Stunna 4 Vegas and NLE Choppa. The song became his second song on the Hot 100 (after “Pop Out”), peaking at number 60 on the Hot 100, number 29 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and number 20 on Hot Rap Songs. He then released his second studio album, ‘THE GOAT’, on May 15, 2020. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and ten songs from the album hit the Hot 100, including “Flex” featuring Juice Wrld and “Be Something” featuring Lil Baby, peaking at numbers 30 and 57, respectively. In August of that year, the rap star was included on XXL’s 2020 Freshman Class. Earlier this year, Polo G was honored in the 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30 listing, under the music category.
Over his career, he has released a total of two albums. His music is available on all major music streaming platforms
