President Rankins is indeed a great man. No words can fully describe the work that he did in his tenure as president. His impact will always be felt. I have only been at Alcorn for one year but I am already inspired and determined by this great man and I hope to reach and surpass his level of success in my life.

I think that his legacy will be epic. Not only was he a fundraiser for the institution but he increased the enrollment as well. I want the future generations of Alcornites to look at this campus and realize that President Rankins had a part in its success.

As an incoming Freshman, I did not know him very well. I’ve never really seen him around campus except when I first got here for Freshman orientation.
