On April 11th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, Alcorn State University’s (ASU) School of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences hosted a joint Open House. The event took place at the Dr. Rudolph E. Waters, Sr. Classroom Building.
The purpose of this event was for the Deans to discuss with the upcoming Freshmen about the benefits of both the School of Business and College of Arts and Sciences and how it could benefit them in the future.
Dr. Renardo R. Murray, Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences stated, “The Open House event was very well put together. There was very positive engagement between the Deans, Chairs, parents, and students. In my opinion the students and their parents were satisfied with the knowledge that was provided to them today.”
Allexus Smith, a Sophomore Business Administration major stated, “Today’s event was a success. It really warms my heart to see the upcoming Business majors. I like how they were able to ask the Deans, current students and university college questions about Alcorn. I hope they truly enjoy their new journey here.”
