Dear Ebi: The Advice Column (October 31, 2018)

Dear Ebi,

I need help. I know we are too old to be concerned with who likes, retweets or shares our posts, but that is all I think about when it comes to social media. Every time I post, I am constantly thinking about the number of followers I have and how much activity my post is receiving. I get insecure at times when I feel like I don’t have enough likes and I’m tired of feeling like that. Please help me and give me some advice on how to get over this hump.

Hello Trisha,

The one and only thing you have to remember is that you’re worth way more than a picture on social media. Social media is based around fame and popularity so it is nothing to get distracted over. The followers you should be concerned with are the ones you acquire in real life who are watching how you grow as a person and who are following in your footsteps. Once you instill this into your mind, you’ll be set.
