Athletes kneeling during the National Anthem is not disrespectful because we as Americans have a voice. It is also a peaceful protest not anything violent.

I don’t think it’s disrespectful, however some of the athletes are just mimicking what they’ve seen in the media and they really don’t know what they’re kneeling for.

No, I don’t think that it’s disrespectful because it might be their way of showing respect to the National Anthem and being socially conscious at the same time.

Toneona Christon

No, because I think that kneeling is showing more respect to the National Anthem than saluting with one hand over your heart.

No, I believe athletes have a right to what they believe in for their country. Everyone in this country has a right to speak out/speak up on the situations that go on in the United States. My father was a veteran in the United States Army. He always believed in what was right. Alot of people would think the athletes are disrespecting the flag because they’re not honoring our veterans who fought for our country but as an African American female, who lives in this society, I’m here to say that the world has changed and a lot of people have changed with it. So the things that were popular decades ago are not popular now.
