The Alcorn State University (ASU) Girls Coalition (GC) hosted its annual Induction Dinner Tuesday, September 23rd at 6:30 pm in the Gold Room, officially welcoming the 2025-2026 Executive Board.
The event brought together current Girls Coalition members, newly inducted board members, and the incoming Adopt-A-Freshman participants for an evening of celebration and connection.
Girls Coalition President, Junior Lauren Dukes, opened the night with words of encouragement, highlighting the importance of leadership and teamwork. “This organization is about more than just a title — it’s about showing up for one another and leaving a lasting impact on the campus,” Dukes said. Vice President Sydni Thomas echoed those sentiments, urging the new board to stay engaged and keep the spirit of GC alive throughout the year.
The 2025-2026 Executive Board Members are: Jaici Campbell, Morgan Hunley, Alaila Muhammad, Sedonya Harness, Jimerya Johnson, Sheniya Silas, Jy’Mya Robinson, Brooklyn Sibley, La’Kya Perkins, Brionna Evans, Jo’Wani Jones, Paris Jackson, Kiersten Zinn, Amelia Daniels, and Tynia Killingsworth.
Following the ceremony, members enjoyed a catered dinner and spent time networking with the Adopt-A-Freshman group, creating space for mentorship and building community.
The Girls Coalition plans to host several events this semester focused on empowerment, professional development, and service, setting the tone for an impactful year ahead.
