If you had to lose one of your five senses which one would it be? Explain. (March 31, 2025)

Senior

I would have to say my hearing because I’ve always heard that if you lose one sense the other ones become more enhanced.

Jadore Campbell

Junior

Columbia, South Carolina

I would probably choose to lose my sense of smell because I think that I can navigate throughout life with only the other four.

Payton James

Biology

Sophomore

Vicksburg, Mississippi

I think I’d choose smell because yes, I’d be losing the ability to smell life’s wonders such as a rose or my grandma’s food cooking on the stove but by not having the sense of smell, I’d also be exempt from smelling life’s other more negative smells such as a sewer or smelly feet.

Don Jones Jr.

Junior

Baker, Louisiana

I’d choose taste because it’s the one sense that I truly believe that I don’t need.

Rashard Phipps

Biology Pre-Med

Sophomore

Harvey, Louisiana

I’d probably say hearing simply due to the fact that I know American Sign Language.
