I think free will is real to a certain extent. For example, we have free will to decide what we would like to eat for dinner or what career we would like to pursue in our life, however, I think it is fair to say that the government controls mostly everything such as politics, commerce, and taxes. We are puppets and they are the puppeteers.

I think free will is real because we are able to choose to do what we want to do without being questioned.

Free will is not real because it is just an illusion. I say this because free will implies that a person can do whatever they feel whenever they want which is not necessarily true. Society has rules and standards set in place to limit and contain the actions of people and there are consequences when these rule are violated. If we did have free will available then this wouldn’t be so. We have free will within the boundaries that society allows us to have it which isn’t free will at all.

Free will is real. People have the choice to do as they please. However, there are certain factors that can get in the way of their choices. The government is at the center of free will within the United States. With them hiding information from us as citizens of the country, it takes our choices away. I guess free will is real but it also serves as an illusion.

Free will to me is an illusion because as a society we are still restricted and can never express our own free will. Nothing in this world is free and I think that we are here just living in a world that is always controlling.
