Nowhere is a 2023 survival film directed by Albert Pinto. The movie was released on September 29, 2023 with a budget of $15,000. The 109-minute film was disturbed by Netflix and written by Indiana Lista.

Nowhere is a film about a soon-to-be mother, Anna Castillo (Mia), who gets separated from her husband, Tamar Novas, (Nico), as a dictatorship takes over their country. Mia and Nico are determined to leave their own home to protect their family after already losing their first child.

Castillo’s acting as the main character is nothing short of perfection. After departing from her husband, she’s basically left to survive alone. There’s a moment in the film where her character’s strength was shown during an unexpected encounter which left me on the edge of my seat.

The director is both considerate and mindful with each scene thoughtfully structured to draw the audience’s attention into the story more. There are both good and bad scenes but overall, the good always outweighs the bad. This survival thriller takes the audience on a journey into deep thought. It serves as an extraordinary source of motivation with every plot twist.

After watching this movie and seeing what a woman can really do, it challenges the audience’s thinking of reality. With unforgettable scenes, the film will make you question if this could happen to you. With outstanding performances by its actresses and actors, Nowhere is a must-see. Although I have seen multiple survival movies, this one really is different.
