It’s that time of year again where the seasons change along with the former Student Government Association’s (SGA) elected officials. On March 19 – 26, 2018 the hopeful candidates campaigned to become the newest representatives for Alcorn State University’s SGA for the 2018-2019 academic year.
On Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Student Union in the Multipurpose Room from 9:00 am through 5:00 pm the voting for the prospective candidates began. The candidates were forewarned that if any candidate didn’t receive 50 percent of the vote then there would be a run off on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Student Union in the Multipurpose Room from 9:00 am through 5:00 pm. According to the election results on March 27th, the run off system was not needed.
