The National Society of Leadership and Success is an organization that promotes leadership, education, and community service. Every chapter must undergo fulfilling a set of Chapter Pillars every year which will generate a certain amount of funds to pay annual chapter dues.
The Alcorn State University Chapter successfully completed all of the Chapter Pillars for 2023. There are an additional Five Chapter Pillars that a Chapter can complete to receive ‘The Order of Sigma’ achievement. This achievement is the highest, distinctive achievement an NSLS Chapter can receive.
This achievement is not often met by the Universities and Community Colleges nationwide. For the first time, The Alcorn NSLS Chapter was able to successfully complete all of the Chapter Pillars including the additional five and receive ‘The Order of Sigma’ for 2024.
The Executive Board from the Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 semester were responsible for ensuring that all of the Chapter’s goals and expectations were met. The Chapter’s advisors, Roy Burr, Lindsey Rushing, and Monika Jones are confident that this year will be the first of many years that the Alcorn Chapter will be receiving this achievement.
