SGA Holds Organizational Fair

On Wednesday, October 7th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on ‘The Green’ in front of the Dr. Clinton Bristow Jr. Dining Facility, the Student Government Association (SGA) held an Organizational Fair.

An Organizational Fair is designed to showcase the different organizations on campus. The Fair consisted of 21 booths. Some of the booths there were the Senior Class Cabinet, The National Society of Leadership and Success, ASU B.R.A.V.E. Faith Wesley Foundation, Alcorn Health and Disability Services, Student National Education Association, GQ Modeling Squad, Girl’s Coalition, T.R.E.N.D., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Kaleb Foxworth, a Sophomore Animal Science major from Vicksburg, Mississippi, stated, “I liked the fact that there were a plethora of organizations to choose from. I’m in my second year of school now and I’m looking to participate more and make a positive impact upon the University.”

Adhering to the rules and regulations administered by the University for events during the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone was required to wear a mask, and each booth was 6 feet apart so that everyone could practice safe social distancing. Bryana Stokes, a Sophomore Mass Communications major from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, stated, “I thoroughly enjoyed this event. It educated me on several organizations that I’ve been eyeing plus I appreciate the fact that everyone was adhering to the University’s safety protocols.”
