Alcorn Recognized in U.S. News and World Report

U.S. News and World Report has released its annual 2022-2023 rankings of the country’s best colleges and universities and Alcorn State University (ASU) has been recognized as one of the elite.

The rankings consist of a plethora of indicators which gives each university their position on the list. Alcorn is ranked #28 in the Best Colleges for Veteran’s category.

The accolades don’t stop there as ASU is ranked #23 amongst all Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), #24 in Top Public Schools, #58 on Top Performers on Social Mobility and entered for the first time at #16 on U.S. News and World Report’s Most Innovative Schools-Regional Universities South list.

An innovative project worth mentioning is Alcorn is in the final stages of completion on the state-of-the-art School of Business’s Rudolph E. Waters’ Classroom Building which is 38,000 square feet.

Dr. Felecia M. Nave, President of Alcorn State University, stated, “Alcorn has long been recognized for its supportive learning environment and providing an exceptional educational experience that prepares graduates for a lifetime of success. We believe, as national and regional college rankings continue to highlight, Alcorn is a great educational choice.”
