THE CAMPUS CHRONICLE

True Bliss

My hair is big

But not as big as my pride

But for you

I put it to the side

Because I truly wanted

To let you inside

And now I feel

Like a piece of me has died

No longer naive

Not after the last time I cried

Simply untrusting

After every time you lied

But still somehow I believe

You’ll make me a happy bride

Maybe I’ve lost my mind

And my ability to see what’s amiss

Or maybe love is truly blind

And ignorance is true bliss
