Actor’s Spotlight: Gabriel Michael Bateman

Gabriel Michael Bateman was born on September 10, 2004 and raised in Turlock, California. He and his family moved to Southern California when he began to pursue his career in acting. Bateman is also the brother of actress Talitha Bateman. In 2012, young Bateman made his acting debut appearing in the film, George Biddle, CPA. In 2014, he had a supporting role in the supernatural horror film and spin-off of The Conjuring franchise, Annabelle. He also starred in the CBS drama thriller series Stalker from 2014 to 2015. Bateman made an appearance in Robert Kirkman’s Cinemax horror drama series Outcast from 2016 to 2017.

In 2016, he played a leading role, alongside Teresa Palmer in the supernatural horror film, Lights Out. In that same year, he starred in the one season CBS mystery drama series, American Gothic. Bateman starred in the Netflix comedy film, Benji, in 2018 and in the Prime Video comedy drama series, The Dangerous Book for Boys. In 2019, he received further recognition for his most prominent role to date as Andy Barclay, alongside Aubrey Plaza, in the reboot of the classic horror film, Child’s Play. In 2020, he starred in the family film, Think Like a Dog and also alongside Russell Crowe, in the thriller film, Unhinged.

Bateman may be getting recognition for horror and family roles, but he still has  time in his career to build his filmography.
