On April 24, 2017 Kendrick Lamar released his latest album entitled “DAMN.”. This album contains 14 songs which is a little more than what he usually has on his albums. Lamar continues to impress us with the amount of quality that he puts in his music. He amazes his fans with his flow and the messages in his music. His style has changed throughout the years but his flow hasn’t. His style has changed for the better and by him doing that is what brought him to where his is now.

The album “DAMN.” starts off with the song entitled “Blood.” which has a very slow tempo. Then in the second song it changes to an upbeat song entitled “DNA.”. Throughout the album Lamar switches back and forth from songs with slow tempos to upbeat tempos. Found in his last album “To Pimp a Butterfly”, Lamar’s instrumentals switches up for every song as well. For instance his song ‘Duckworth.’ begins one way then the instrumental changes in the middle of the song. The second instrumental has the same tempo and it compliments the first instrumental then it changes for a third time. Lamar has features from Rihanna, Zacari and U2 in the album.

With the help of Bekon, Anthony Tiffith, Mike WiLL Made-it, Sounway, James Blake, Ricci Riera, DJ Dahi,The Alchemist and 9th Wonder, Greg Kurstin, Steve Lacy, Tae Beast, BADBADNOTGOOD and Pluss, Lamar was able to produce the album. His previous album “To Pimp a Butterfly” was rated 96% out of 100% from 44 critics. The “DAMN.” album is expected to do just as well or even better. After hearing this album many would say that it is an instant classic. Every song on the album has landed a spot on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Though every song on his album landed a spot on Billboard’s Hot 100, there are some songs that stick out more that others. ‘Loyalty.’ featuring Rihanna, ‘Humble.’, ‘Love.’ featuring Zacari and ‘Feel.’ are the songs that will most likely to be aired on the radio. When listening to the album you will be amazed on how great of a lyricist Lamar is. Overall, he continues to put out a high quality product and amazes his fans with his music.

Lamar’s fans say that this album will be a classic. “DAMN.” receives 10 stars out of 10 stars.
