Alcorn Gets 28 New Recruits at 2025 Football National Signing Day

On February 6, 2025, Braves Football signed 28 student athletes on National Signing Day. The Braves picked up a well-balanced group of high school standouts, with some transfers to go along. Cedric Thomas, Head Football Coach of Alcorn State University (ASU) and his staff had a focus on size, athleticism, and depth when recruiting and feel as if they executed that with this signing class.

“We focused on addressing our needs on all three phases of the game, but overall, we got bigger and stronger as a team,” said Coach Thomas. “Most importantly, we added size, physicality, and depth to our roster, positioning us to compete at a higher level.”
