Kiana Lede’ Brown is a 23-year-old California based singer, songwriter, and actress. She began to sing the alphabet immediately after learning it and began performing at the age of 3 after receiving her first karaoke machine. As a child, she performed regularly in school plays and beauty pageants while taking voice lessons and studying piano.

In 2011, Ledé’s mother discovered Kidz Bop, a website for kids to upload and share videos of themselves performing. She uploaded a video of Ledé performing an original number on the piano and submitted it. Needless to say Ledé won the 2011 KIDZ Star USA Grand Prize out of 45,000 submissions.

At a school assembly, Ledé was told that she won the national talent search by American Idol winner Kris Allen. The prize included an RCA Records recording contract and a starring role in a Kidz Bop 21 music video and commercial.

Ledé released her first single as an artist on June 19th, 2012 entitled “Hey Chica”. The song, which promoted a clear message of self-empowerment for young women, provided her with multiple opportunities including chances to perform the single on The Today Show and at the 86th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Also, in 2012, Ledé was named cover girl for Miss Moxie’s Holiday 2012 issue.

Following her departure from RCA Records, Ledé signed with Republic Records and released her debut EP, ‘Myself’, in July 2018. The EP includes her breakout song “EX”, which became her first Top 10 hit on the US R&B Songs chart, peaking at number 9, and at number 1 in several countries. In 2020, Lede’ released her debut album, ‘KIKI’, on April 3rd, 2020. The album was a success, debuting at number 30 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart.
