We all have lost or know someone who has come in contact with breast cancer and this is indeed an epidemic in the United States. The biggest risk factors are age and gender. Many people stand together to support survivors of breast cancer and to commemorate those who fought the good fight.

In 2015, an estimated 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the United States, along with 60,290 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer. With many efforts to pass the word on about the importance of breast care, there are non-profit, along with profitable organizations that support Breast Cancer Awareness.

In 2015, there are more than 2.8 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. This includes women currently being treated and women who have finished treatment. The entire month of October is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness and the importance of knowing your status. From the Brave family to yours, protect yourself and the ones you love with the facts.
