Juniors Chenel Martin and Jhamir Adams have been selected to be a part of the inaugural class of the Cricket Wireless’ Campus Ambassador Program. During the semester-long ambassadorship, Martin and Adams will have access to mentors and career development opportunities within the national wireless retailer’s network of experienced marketing professionals and independent, authorized retailers.
The students will also learn the art of giving back through the program’s philanthropic efforts on campus and in the surrounding communities.
In addition to competitive compensation, Martin and Adams will be prioritized for internships and post-graduation employment with Cricket Wireless and their partner agencies, as well as receive a complimentary smartphone with unlimited service.
“We couldn’t be more honored to have Chenel and Jhamir join the inaugural class of our Campus Ambassador Program,” said Antwone Williams, Market Director at Cricket Wireless. “We are so impressed with their commitment to academics and professional development and believe they’re a perfect fit for our brand.”
Both students were selected from an impressive pool of applicants in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). At the end of the program, Martin and Adams will have developed and executed a customized marketing plan exclusively for Alcorn State University that they can use as a case study in their portfolio for post-graduate employment.
