Dear Ebi,
I’m a Freshman at Alcorn State University. Normally, I have 19 meals a week but I’m currently down to only $75 in flex for the remainder of the semester. During my first semester all of my flex was gone in 1 month. What advice would you give to help me conserve my flex and make it last until the end of the semester? Thanks in advance.

Hey LilYatty,
I understand your dilemma. Having flex, especially as a Freshman, can be difficult to manage. You have about 4 months to budget those dollars and by keeping track of every swipe that you make you can make it last until the end of the semester. One thing that will assist you in doing this is to try to limit using your flex to only 2 times a week instead of using it everyday. It will become easier as you continue to do it and before you know it, you will have an overload of flex to use freely at the end of the year. Don’t let the amount of flex you have get the best of you. You use your flex dollars, don’t let your flex dollars use you.
