Across the nation, undergraduates are fearing the most terrible week in school, Finals Week!  Finals Week draws out the noticeably awful in us and the greater part of us aren’t great at adapting to this measure of stress. Here are five things you can do to make yourself less insane during the dreaded week.

1. DELETE IT (AT LEAST FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME)

I mean it. You know it should be done, so do what needs to be done. Kill the cell phone. Deactivate your social media. This could possibly be the best advice on the list so adhere to it.

2. HAVE POSITIVE CONVERSATIONS

Speak with genuine individuals who will keep you calm and reassure you that you are capable of doing any and everything. Investing time with these individuals will give you a jolt of energy. So call up your mother or hit up a conversation with whomever goes to the café with you on a daily basis. These people will give you affirmation about the positive things that you partake in. Oh yeah, TEXTING doesn’t count in this situation.

3. TAKE BREAKS

After around two hours of hard studying, your brain begins to slow down on you. It’s best to take 5-10 minute breaks each hour or somewhere in the vicinity. Extend. Invigorate. Relax. Your brain power won’t wear out as fast doing this.

4. GET SOME FRESH AIR

You can’t remain inside throughout the day and hope to stay positively functional. Some natural air will help decrease your worry during the stressful week.

5. BE HELPFUL TO YOUR BODY

Nobody goes after a bag of potato chips and a half quart of Blue Bell ice cream speedier than I do, particularly when I’m focused, yet this is the exact opposite thing your body needs. You need to feed your brain cells with helpful foods. Get yourself a few bananas, raisins, apples and celery sticks, set aside some opportunity to cook healthy dinners and drink a lot of water. Your body will bless your heart.
