HomeTHE POET’S CORNERI'm Irritated, But Continue

I’m Irritated, But Continue

I’m irritated,

Aggravated, agitated,

Underrated, mostly hated,

I’m never changing.

Now is it me or is everybody getting crazy?

I can see it now because I’m changing,

Rearranging my patience,

I know you hate it.

I know you’re waiting.

Debating

If you should come back, but I’ve made up my mind.

Can’t tell me who I am and who I ain’t,

Can’t tell me what to do or what I can’t.

I was yours,

Now I’m not.

And it’s crazy,

Ive changed a lot.

She was ignored,

Now she’s not.

Now she’s yours,

That says a lot.

You was bored,

I was not.

I wanted love,

But what I got?

Like a flower I bloom;

That’s what flowers are supposed to do.

And like a bird I will soar.

That’s what wings are made for.
