Love and War

It’s all fair

In love and war

But they never say

That love is war

Two opposing forces

One mighty and one weak

But it takes many opportunities

Before the victor shall peak

One may seem wilder

One may seem tame

One may hold his might

Deep in the recesses of his brain

Where as the other holds

His strength in his fist

One may be large

Filled with many bodies

One may be small

Recruiting any busy body

One may be secretive

And sneaky

Where as the other is

Sinisterly geeky

Either way,

You’ll always be going in blind

On a battlefield

You’ll never know your opponent’s mind

In a relationship

You’ll never know their heart

You trust what you see

And accordingly play your part

There are civilians

Standing by

Waiting to see who’ll live

And who’ll die

Waiting to see who’ll emerge

With victory

And who will bow down

With misery
