Kinda Pregnant is a film which was released on February 5th, 2025 and is 1 hour and 38 minutes long. The movie is categorized as a comedy and features Grammy Award winning actress/comedienne Amy Schumer, and Brianne Howie, best known for her role as Georgia in the popular Netflix series Ginny & Georgia.
The movie is about a young teacher who let’s jealousy overcome her after the recent pregnancies of her friends causes her to create a drawn out lie surrounding her own pregnancy. Admist trying to keep up with her own drama, her job, and past relationships, a new love interest enters her life causing more trouble.
Kinda Pregnant is extremely sarcastic and occasionally funny, which I believe was perfectly cast for Schumer. The plot of the movie was fairy different from other movies, but I believe her character was the same as any other character she’s ever played in most of her films. Though it was not a bad movie, it seemed very corny at times and catered to a certain sense of humor, which I believe made it harder to be interested in. Though every movie is not meant to be 100% realistic, a lot of situations and dialogue in the movie were far less than any realistic. The movie was also very predictable like a lot of other movies, causing it to be very unexciting, though it was still slightly interesting to watch.
Being that the movie didn’t have much depth and only had a handful of comedic scenes, I would only recommend it to someone who is interested in the corny humor concept.
