With the Spring and Summer seasons approaching, many fashionable silhouettes, trends, and colors are emerging in the fashion scene. While the weather is beginning to mellow and warmer days are occurring, many often wonder what is in season, more so, what style and colors are trending. Dive deeper into a few tones of the season: Viva Magenta, Red, Cobalt Blue, Vibrant Orange, Cerulean Blue, Yellow, Classic Green, and Creme.
- VIVA MEGENTA
Named Pantone’s 2023 Color of the Year, Viva Magenta is emerging as a powerhouse color for many staple pieces for the Spring and Summer seasons. With its shade rooted in the Red family, the significant color makes a bold and powerful statement whenever worn. Although the Viva Magenta color wasn’t seen as much in previous seasons before the new Spring arrival, many are gravitating towards the shade, especially celebrities on the Red Carpet. With Viva Magenta dominating the fashion scene for 2023, we can expect to see even more of the color for the Fall season.
- RED
Red is one of the colors that dominated fashion week as luxury brands such as Ferragamo, Gucci, and Balenciaga featured various bold and exciting Crimson color hues. The intense Red specifically is foreshadowed to take over the Spring/Summer season. The intense Red color is a supercharged Red hue that is profoundly unique with its signaling and energetic intensity. Cherry Tomato Red is another shade of Red closer to the color Orange and is previewed to be significant for this upcoming Summer season. The key to Red is to figure out which shade and hue works best for your skin tone. Dark-colored tones should go for warmer hues of Red, as lighter-colored tones should go for cooler Red hues to complement and truly bring the color out.
- COBALT BLUE
Another significant color dominating the fashion industry is Blue, specifically Cobalt Blue. Cobalt Blue is called Clean Blue, meaning it is neither warm nor cool, as the bold and rich color complements all skin tones. The traditional Cobalt Blue color looks expensive with the right style and high-quality fabric.
- VIBRANT ORANGE
For many years people deemed Orange as a less appealing color and often tied it specifically to Halloween which was very uncomplimentary. As more explore the fascinating color, they are beginning to appreciate it even more. Vibrant Orange is a color that is predicted to trend for the Spring/Summer season due to its very bright and saturated hue. Vibrant Orange can be paired with other bold colors such as Pinks, Greens, Blues, etc.
- CERULEAN BLUE
Cerulean Blue is a shade of Blue ranging between Azure and a Sky Blue hue. Cerulean Blue has become increasingly popular for the last couple of Spring seasons, but now more people are gravitating towards the color, especially for the Spring and Summer seasons. Cerulean Blue is an impactful color as the hue is presented as happy, fun, and overall eclectic to incorporate into your wardrobe.
- YELLOW
Yellow is typically a significant color for the Spring and Summer seasons. This previous runway season has introduced us to more shades of Yellow becoming staple colors for the 2023 Spring/Summer season. Mellow Yellow is predicted to trend for this upcoming season. The shade of Mellow Yellow is softer as opposed to the significant usual bright, bold Yellow that has been in season for previous years.
- CLASSIC GREEN
Green has become such a staple color in recent years as the color features various fascinating shades and hues appealing to consumers. Classic Green for Spring doesn’t have to be the focal point of your garments. Green can be an accent and makes for a perfect “pop of color.” One of the more popular Greens adjacent/similar to the classic Green is the Bottega Green which dominated the fashion scene in 2021. Regardless of your go-to Green shade, everyone should have one staple piece of Green incorporated into their Spring and Summer wardrobe for this year.
- CREAM
In contrast to many of the bold and brought colors listed for the Spring and Summer color trend, a stunning yet elegant color is also mentioned and should be incorporated into your wardrobe this season. That color is Cream. Cream can range from being more of a Beige tone to also being a soft Peach color. The soft off-White style can be paired with other neutrals and bold, pop colors. Luxury brands such as Jacquemeus, Robert Cavalli, and Alexander McQueen featured the color in their Spring/Summer collections.
