DeVaughn Malancon is a Senior Accounting major from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Inspired by the styles of his close friends and celebrities such as Steve Lacy, Rihanna, and Bretman Rock, DeVaughn always puts comfort first within his looks. He would describe his style as cozy yet easy as he is not very big on name brands and is more into thrifting and bargaining his pieces. He found his recognition for fashion during his high school years when he began switching up his styles to what fitted him comfortably.
For DeVaughn, fashion means wearing whatever makes him feel pleasantly stylish and comfortable. His current favorite fashion pieces are Jordan 3s and a Telfar bag. With the weather getting colder, he is looking forward to more layering of clothing while still maintaining that fashionable aspect with different looks.
“Confidence first, Clothes Second,” is a phrase DeVaughn would tell people to live by when finding their style; “If you are not confident with who you are as a person, you won’t be comfortable with whatever you are wearing.”
Although not wanting to do anything fashion related, DeVaughn has a bright future ahead of him. After graduating from Alcorn, he plans on going to graduate school. Afterwards, he plans on taking the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination to become an accountant and work for a large corporation/firm.
