WPRL 91.7 FM Displays New Signs

WPRL 91.7 FM, Alcorn Radio, had some new aesthetically pleasing signs placed in and around the station during the week of September 26 – October 2nd.

Myrtle Hedrick, Administrative Assistant at WPRL 91.7 FM, spearheaded the campaign to get the new and improved signs. “It’s been my vision for five years to get the signs because the ones we had prior were old and outdated. I wanted to get a special tint for the station that had it’s logo on it but also that would block out the excessive sunlight that would come through the main window. I also wanted to replace the sign that we had coming into the entrance of the Industrial Technology Building, stated Hedrick.

The signs were $1,700 and installed by H&M Promotional Products which is located in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Larry Sanders, Assistant Professor at Alcorn stated, “This is a tremendous idea. A lot of students don’t know where the station is located on campus and with the new signs now they do. It’s an amazing recruitment tool for the University.”
