Christopher Maurice Brown is a Virginia born Hip Hop and R&B singer. Brown’s musical beginnings started at a young age. As a child, the singer performed at talent shows and also sang in the church choir. At the age of 13, he was discovered by Hitmission Records and in 2004 he signed to Jive Records.
Brown’s debut album, ‘Chris Brown’, was released on November 25th, 2005. The album was successful, selling 154,000 copies in its first week and peaking at number 2 on the Billboard 200 charts. It also generated a string of hit singles including “Run It!”, “Yo (Excuse Me Miss)”, “Say Goodbye” and “Gimme That”.
Brown’s second album, ‘Exclusive’, was released November 6th, 2007. The album was even more successful than his first, selling 294,000 copies in its first week and producing a string of Billboard charting singles including “Wall to Wall”, which peaked at number 79 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and number 22 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart,”Kiss Kiss”, which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and “With You”, which reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Over his career span, Brown has released a total of 9 studio albums and several mixtapes. Brown’s music is available on all streaming platforms.
