Dead Bodies

Under a night sky

Lay many that died

Because they refused

To follow Christ

They walk in shame

They walk in pride

They love their sin

Instead of God

Now their bodies

In the ground they will stay

While Satan prowls

Searching for more prey

Many dead bodies

Still rise each day

Because they are dead spiritually

And continue to say

“I am the master

I am the king

I am a god

No one is like me”

Because of their lying tongues

And blasphemous words

They will burn

And their screams won’t be heard

The unrighteous will learn

The consequences of their mistakes

Though they make their choices

God is the master of their fate

We must humble ourselves

We must repent of our sin

Or we will be like the dead bodies

That will soon never rise again
