The Alcorn State University Department of Mass Communications ASU TV-13 will be receiving a lot of attention this semester with the addition of several new television series. One of which is a scripted drama entitled Jupiter Road. Created by Senior Mass Communications students KeAmber Council and Monique Mansfield, Jupiter Road will focus on the lives of several college students as they navigate through their time at the college.

“We wanted to create a show that viewers on both YouTube and ASU TV-13 can connect with. With that in mind, Jupiter Road will touch on typical and unexpected scenarios that everyone can enjoy,” Council stated.

Jupiter Road is set on the campus of Hulk State College in fictional Hulk, Mississippi. Connected by Jupiter Road Middle School in Tigerette, Mississippi, the cast of Jupiter Road find themselves at a crossroads with one another and themselves. While battling love, lust, loss and overall drama audiences will see the characters transform on the screen.

“I’m really excited about this show. It’s an excellent opportunity to showcase the talent not only within the Department but also with the students on Alcorn’s campus,” Mansfield added.

The scripted drama with a twist, as the creators say, will feature Alcorn students, Deja Harris, Vanesha Harris, Ren-Nessa Maulseed, Bryony Murphy, Marcellus Rankin, Oshaye Rawls, David Richmond, Demetrius Thomas and Isaac Ward.

Stay tuned for Jupiter Road, which will be aired on YouTube and ASUTV-13 through MK Productions.
