Poison Ivy

Although no one knew her

She was often disconcerted

Shunned from her peers

And reminded of the things she most regretted

Her powerful presence

Is what left her most stunned

She only desired admiration

But she knew that her actions could never be undone

She bottled up her feelings

And always hoped for them to be heard

These feelings much more powerful than what

could ever be explained with words

Her dark green eyes

Is what symbolized her biggest fear

She had much more depth

Than what she’d let appear

She lived in constant fear

Of the thought of rejection

She was comforted through her own thoughts

And was haunted by her own reflection
