Before the moniker Offset, he was just Kiari Kendrell Cephus, born on December 14, 1991. Alongside Quavo and Takeoff, of the now famous rap group Migos, upon which he is a part of, Offset was raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia and resided in a rough neighborhood known to be a distribution hub for the Mexican drug cartel. He was active in football and attended Berkmar High School in Lilburn, Georgia, graduating in 2009.
In 2011, Offset and the Migos dropped their first mixtape ‘Juug Season’. With no major attention, they released another mixtape in 2012 entitled ‘No Label’ with similar results. Originally, the Migos were signed to 300 Entertainment, but later moved on to Quality Control Music in 2015.
Outside of music, in 2015, Offset had a major dealing with the authorities, when he, Quavo and Takeoff were arrested and charged with possession of drugs and weapons for which he spent four months in custody.
Offset is married to Grammy award winning rapper Cardi B, and together they have a daughter named Kulture. He’s also the father of three other children (Jordan, Kody, and Kalea) outside of his marriage.
Offset released his first solo album which dropped on February 22, 2019 entitled ‘Father of 4’.
