Most student’s biggest fear when it comes to taking tests is failing one. Studying and preparing for a test is helpful to students that do not want to fail their test. Here are some helpful tips on how to study and prep for your next upcoming exam.

1. STUDY, STUDY, AND MORE STUDYING MAKES PERFECT
When studying try using sample questions. Using sample questions can help student’s brains retrieve information about what is going to be on their exam.

2. LISTEN TO MUSIC
Listening to the correct type of relaxing music can help students become more productive as well as elevating a student’s mood to want to study or do work.

3. CREATE FLASHCARDS FOR A QUICK MEMORY BUZZ
Students can easily test their knowledge by making or using flashcards. Flashcards can be used to write down key concepts, definitions, formulas, and more. Going over flashcards can help students gain a quicker memory which can lead to them passing their test.

4. BEING IN A COMFORTABLE SPACE
Being in a space that is calming and soothing can help you focus more on your studies. Students are more relaxed and focused when they are in private quiet areas. Private areas can be places such as your room, the library, a study hall, or any place that you will consider being a quiet and soothing area.

5. BEING ORGANIZED
Being organized is a good way to help students study. Having your notes organized can help students study the correct content. Try to get rid of all distractions, such as televisions, phones, etc. Getting rid of these distractions helps students focus on what they need to study.

6. TRY MAKING A STUDY SCHEDULE
Plan out what you want to study and what exactly needs to be studied before taking your test. Once you do this, clear your schedule for about an hour and a half and focus primarily on your notes for your upcoming exam.

7. GO TO YOUR PROFESSOR FOR HELP
After class, plan to go see your professors, talk to them, and ask questions. Ask them for tips that can help you pass the test.

8. STUDY IN THE MORNING

9. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO STUDY FOR YOUR TEST
Waiting for the day before the exam to study causes stress. Trying to cram a large amount of information in your brain at once can affect your memory. To avoid doing this, study the notes once you get them. This way, you will be familiar with them before you take the test.

10. STUDY WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS
Getting together with your friends may cause you to understand what the information will be like on your test. Studying with a group gives you the opportunity to ask questions about anything that you don’t understand and need help with. This causes you to gain more insight about the content on your test, which will result in you passing it.
